Why is HD TV so much better?

Since the Digital revolution, TV screens have been using the pixels resolution system used in digital cameras which is made up of tiny dots and it is the number of dots here that constitutes the resolution and in turn the picture quality.Standard definition tv comprises 720 by 576 pixels which represent just under half a million pixels or points of light in either red blue or green. HD ready tv comprises 1280 by 720 pixels or just under a million pixels and Full HD tv has over 2 and a half million pixels with a screen resolution of 1920 by1080 pixels. Basically speaking the greater number of pixels equals sharper picture quality. In real terms this difference would be similar to looking at a line of newspaper print with a strong magnifying glass, suddenly you can see the irregularities on the edges of the print which had gone unnoticed and the tiny imperfections and particles in the paper.
